Ashtanga yoga, Meditation and Pranayama (Breathwork) — teaching from the inside out since 2011.
David Fredriksson is one of Sweden's most experienced Ashtanga yoga teachers, with over 15 years of teaching experience and a personal practice spanning more than three decades.
His first encounter with yoga came in 1993, after a foot injury, persistent insomnia, and problems with concentration resisted every conventional remedy. A seeker since his teens, he tried Hatha Yoga — and immediately felt the profound benefits of asana and meditation practice.
Yoga healed him physically, but what struck him most was something subtler: a deep, sustaining sense of well-being that, unlike other sensory pursuits, never faded. It brought clarity, calmness, and an internal focus unlike anything he had experienced before.
In early 2006, David took his first Ashtanga class at Ashtanga Yoga Stockholm. His first trip to Mysore in February 2008 — where he practiced with R. Sharath Jois for the first time — marked a turning point. In January 2011, he received his Authorization to teach — and has been teaching ever since.
Every student, regardless of background, deserves a space to explore who they are and grow through this dynamic practice.
"The practice meets you exactly where you are — and takes you exactly where you need to go."
The classical sequence — Primary Series, Intermediate Series and Advanced Series A, B, C & D — taught in the traditional Mysore style, adapted to each body, each day.
Ancient breathing techniques that regulate the nervous system, deepen concentration and prepare the mind for stillness. The bridge between body and the subtler layers of being.
A daily meditation practice has anchored David's life since 1993. Accessible and profound — for beginners and experienced practitioners alike.
"When the mind becomes still,
everything else becomes clear."
A meditation practice has been at the heart of David's life since 1993. What began as a means of managing stress and sleeplessness became the quiet foundation of everything else — the practice beneath the practice.

Everyone starts somewhere. This is where your practice begins.
Ashtanga yoga is one of the world's most respected and time-tested yoga traditions — a structured, breath-led practice that builds strength, flexibility, balance and focus from the very first session.
Unlike most other yoga methods, in Ashtanga you are individually guided by the teacher — which makes it surprisingly well suited for complete beginners. The practice follows a set sequence of postures, which never changes. This means every time you step on the mat, you know exactly where you are. Progress becomes visible. The practice becomes yours.
You don't need to be flexible, strong or experienced. You need nothing more than curiosity and a willingness to show up.
The best way to begin is simply to begin.
